Anywho thanks for the advice and the words of encouragement on my last post. I almost signed with an agency a few months ago but it just didn't feel right. I wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy. My dream is to sign with DBA...ugh one day!

When I think of sweater dresses, I think of Lisa Turtle from "Saved by the Bell" in those bulky oversized bedazzled sweater concoctions she wore through out the show. Don't get me wrong they were pretty pretty badass back then but nowadays the fit is all kinds of fucked up!

Like it's hard to find a good vintage one without shoulder pads and a turtleneck...good luck!! So I was kinda happy when AA sent me this not so complicated sweater dress. It's light, thin, ribbed and hugs all my bones in the right places. 

I decided to go grunge since I finally got my goddamn shoes in the mail...THANK SATAN! I was like losing my fucking mind cause it took almost a month to get here...ok 20 days but geez! They're kinda like me but in the form of a shoe. Plus I can still be tall enough to stand over short guys and make them feel super awkward, hahaha! I know it wrong but I love to fuck with cocky guys with short complexes...you're short I get it but why do you have to be such an asshole, hmmm?

Anywho, busy busy busy! Joel's getting ready to go on his end of the year business trips which sometimes have him gone for up to 20 days at a time. I love that my hubby is a successful businessman in the oil and gas business but sometimes I just wish we could go with him. Ephraim really misses him like crazy which breaks my already broken heart. Boooooooooooo, I'm going to miss my Babylove!!

It's official I'm OBSESSED with slouchy lounge jackets, cover ups...whatever! It can make something so simple, like B&W, look like you put in a lot of effort. Especially if you're lucky to find one with bold colors and such a neat-o art deco print. I just love the flow and "that all eyes on me" effect it gives.

Well over the weekend Joel has been watching his 1940s detective flicks over and over. So I actually drew a lot of inspiration from the male characters. Of course I virginized it with a burst of color and a fringe bag! Too bad I can't be a real detective, you would be able to spot my ass a mile away!

Soooooooo the weather has cooled down but it's definitely back on the rise. I'm so anxious to see what the Summer is going to be like! Probably FUCKIN' HOT but at least I'm going to spend half my Summer in another city. I try not to boast but I am just too excited!! I'm going from Buttfuck, TX to New York City!! It's like when Country Mouse visits City Mouse...you know the Tom and Jerry episode??  Hahaha!! Yeah it's going to be fucking sweet. I'm dying to see Ephraim's reaction. He loves to see different types of people and styles. It'll be fun to show him that I'm not crazy. Other people dress like this everyday too!

Before I go I just wanted to thank everyone who understood where I was coming from in my last post. I'm no blog guru...just a normal Texas girl who enjoys blogging for real and not from a commercial stand point. I also wanted you to know that I don't have over the top camera equipment with lighting. Just me and my tripod! I like being the underdog. While others are waiting for the elevator, I rather take the stairs! That's just me. My Mom always said I like to do things the hard way.

Awwwww yeah can you feel it?? The sun's shining but not melting your face off, the wind violently blowing in your hair and all the crazy park bums seem just a little bit nicer today! It was soooo amazing out I had to bring out my old friend Dottie. She always a crowd pleaser with her bold and vibrant color to her flirtatiously deep neckline. Plus it like perfect for this weather cause it's only 2 feet of fabric...enough to cover my ass and keep me cool!

Moving on...trying to look for a house before June and plan a month long trip to NY is like the hardest thing to do. I mean child birth was tough but DAMN!! I just need to get all my ducks in a row and maybe I can stop losing my fucking mind. I'm scared that Ephraim will have to go to summer school again. Ugh ANXIETY!! Thank Satan I have you guys to calm me with your sweet words. Nothing like a blog to keep you from going bat shit crazy!

POP OFF!

So I've been DYING to try the colorblocked/pop of color trend for like weeks now! My orange cords was the perfect solution. Not only are they the perfect color for my skin tone but I thought the stripes in the cords was a good mix with the oversized stripe top. I decided to tone it down since the pants and top can speak for themselves. A simple hat, cute tote and espadrille wedges. 

When Joel told me he was getting me shoes from Target I'm not gonna lie I cringed a little! Don't worry I'm not a Target snob!! They just always have a weird fit and plus I like my shoes sky high. But since I'm outta the loop I didn't know Dolce Vita made shoes for Target. 5 points for Joel!!

Tonight's our anniversary and were going to my FAVORITE place, Boiling Crab!! It's Asian style crawfish, lobster, shrimp, crab...etc done in this spicy boil. I like to leave with my lips swollen and my eyes and nose runnin'! Ahhhhhh it just so fucking good, SERIOUSLY I can't wait!

Well I gotta go and start picking out what I'm going to wear tonight. I suck at dressing down but I have to since it's going to get really messy. I'm thinking red skinnies and B&W oversized polka dot tee, idk??

All I want for Spring is flowy and slouchy things or the polar opposite of neat and pretty. This outfit is the perfect example. Heavy on top and draped long on the bottom to form the ULTIMATE SLOUCH and FLOW!! I like a lot of movement when I walk or just move period. I also like a maxi skirt that's not to low to the ground cause hello I want you to see my shoes, DUH!! It's kinda simple but very dramatic.

So my weekend has been awesome even after some minor scraps and bumps at work. I was FIRED then rehired within 20 minutes. My manager didn't have the right to fire me so I got my job back. Even though I didn't want it back, I need a simple job to keep my benefits for Ephraim through the government. I was given the rest of the day off plus I was already off this weekend. So it couldn't have been given at a better time. I was denied time off though to go to NYC, BOOOOOOOOO! But it's cool cause I'm in the process of looking for a new and real part-time job. And get there in the Summer. I really don't want to break the news with my bestie cause it's just going to break her widdle heart. We're like the same person she's just asian and I'm black. Just two cute goal driven bitches who just so happen to love clothes and wanna fuck around in the fashion industry. Love you D!!

Love you all actually but I gotta go play meteorologist to make sure it doesn't rain later so I can go through with my double shoot today!!
