NOT MY FIRST RODEO

vintage beaded crochet top, Urban 1972 boudoir lace shorts, vintage Smokey the Bear hat, vintage snakeskin DIY bucket bag,  JC Solvang booties from Joel, vintage southwestern belt, Bueno Bueno feather tails, vintage oversized cross necklace, B.E. rings and leopard skinny scarf
It's warming up here in The Great State" which means it's time for RODEO! Last night my family and I attended the annual BBQ Cook Off, YUMMY IN MY TUMMY! My Dad usually have a booth set up so we got VIP tickets and got to drink and eat as much as we wanted. You can literally smell it from the freeway as you're driving there! Love the Rodeo...you get livestock, bunnies, rides and CARNIE FOOD! I am a sucker for some carnie food! They will deep fry anything or put it on a stick like hotdogs, twinkies, oreos, sausage, turkey leg, etc!
So I decided to wear something a little loosey goosey to hide the food baby I was about to make. As you can see crochet is still my bitch and if I could wear it everyday, I would! I was feeling nothing but textures and had animal instincts. So I draped myself down with a few pieces. By the end of the night the scarf was tied to my purse cause it just keep choking me like I owed it money, hahaha!
Overall everything was beautiful and Ephraim had a fucking blast! He passed out walking back to the car. I swear he does that every year! Thank Satan for Joel cause he's getting fucking heavy these days! Way too big for Mama to carry, tear!
I'm having a SWELL weekend and I hope you guys did too?? I know I've been a little M.I.A. but my bike had a flat so it's a little hard to get back and forth from my house to my studio. Plus haul all that camera equipment around while on foot. So I was like you know what, mini vaca for VV! But I'm back and I hoped you missed me??
Love you guys from the bottom of my vintage heart,
Virgin

SURPRISE SURPRISE!!

vintage chocolate brown sweater, Urban 1972 Ruching Maxi Dress secret V-Day gift from Joel, DIY leopard turban wrap, Bueno Bueno feather tails, DIY stacked platform boots, Zara leopard faux fur bag, vintage oversized cross necklace, vintage bangles, B.E. rings and Zara skinny belt
A surprise V-Day gift from Joel! I know you must think I'm a spoiled lil bitch?? Well I am, hahaha! But only by Joel!! He knows what I want and if he likes it, he buys it for me. Trust me he says NO TO EVERYTHING sometimes! That's why I work extra hard for my cheap clothes.
Anywho, LOVE this dress! Was so happy it has double lining...THANK YOU! It holds you in on the inside with the perfect drape on the out. Warm browns, leopards and feathers was all I wanted to throw on! I used to be scared of browns cause I am brown, hehe, but I've come to realize that my skin tone is like the best part of my outfits sometimes. So turn that brown upside down and layer up!
Hate to cut this short but I just got called in to work early and being "the sweet person that I am", I'm going to pick up the slack once again!
Love you all,
Virgin

HOMEBODY

vintage ribcage knit sweater, Urban 1972 crochet knit shorties, vintage southwestern belt, vintage Smokey the bear hat, DIY leopard F21 platform booties, leopard faux fur Zara bag, vintage bangles and B.E. rings
So my OBSESSION for crochet has leaked over into Spring. Pretty much anything with a scallop trim is a go for me! Crochet shorts are a little hard to pull off, they could easily look like a bathsuit cover, yikes!! So I paired my shorties up with a close relative...a loose knit sweater. You can't go wrong with neutrals and knits, right??
For some reason I feel you can never have too much leopard print. I've been wearing it in bulk. Shoes, hat, bag...I gotta have at least 2 pieces at a time! Found the perfect velvet leopard dress the other day. I keep forgetting to take it in to fit Mama but I buy so much crap I forget about the other crap I bought the week before! I would make the cutest episode of Hoarders cause we could have a FASHION SHOW!! Whooooooooo, fuck yeah!!
The beginning of the the week has kicked off and I already feel like I'm 10 days behind! Ephraim's been sick so I have been waiting on him hand and foot to make sure he gets well. That's my baby, geez I hope I don't make him a Mama's boy I HATE Mama's boys!! Sooooooo needy and rely on their mom for everything, HATE 'EM!
Thanks for keeping me going,
Virgin

Welcome to the something something DARKSIDE!

everything thrifted from head to toe expect Urban 1972 romper)
vintage basic black blazer, Urban 1972 floral ruffle romper, vintage felt Smokey the Bear hat, grey sweater socks, vintage leather shoulder backpack bag, Zara suede wedge booties, wayfarer sunnies, vintage cross necklaces and B.E. rings
So you know me, I'm a whore to the romper. I've been it's bitch for YEARS!! So when I got this one from Urban 1972, the planets aligned and I'm pretty sure Jesus walked the earth that day cause a floral corset ruffle romper is what I've been waiting for! I don't know where you've been all my life but I'm glad you found me, hehe.
I don't know how to say it other than it's F-ING FREEZING outside!! The cold weather makes my bones hurt. Last week it was borderline pool time now it time to throw on your good coat, brrrrrrrrrrr! Living in TX you're half naked till December so it's always a shocker when the winter weather sticks around for weeks at a time. So I'm going to jump the gun by saying (in my most whiney baby voice) "I'm ready for Spring!"
Thank you sooooo much for showing me love!! Sometimes I feel like I'm the most nonchalant blogger around, like I just don't care. I'm just really really humble to all this craziness! I'm just not one to brag but I am truly thankful and happy with my chose to start a blog in the first place. It has become my personal outlet for talking about clothes/life when no one's listening. You guys really are my smile on a sad day!! Can you believe my 1 yr Anniversary is coming up??? WOAH....
Kisses,
Virgin

Go, go Gadget...COAT!

floral "In The Trenches" coat courtesy of Urban 1972, vintage Smokey the Bear hat, Seychelles Bismuth booties, wine knee hi socks, vintage tortoise shell sunnies, vintage leather egg backpack purse, vintage necklace/bangles and B.E. rings
It's obvi I don't do BORING! So when it came to choosing a trench coat I just had to pick something with a little pizzazz! Not only is the floral print TO DIE FOR but the length is perfect for ALOT of leg action!
I could just wear bra and panties underneath since it's a borderline dress, jk, jk!!
Anywho, is anyone getting antsy about Thanksgiving? I feel that no food is satisfying until I get my goddamn turkey leg and stuffing! Like I want to try everything this year. Just randomly show up at people's houses saying, "shit I'm HUNGRY, give me fooooood!" I may be little but I can eat ALOT, like it's a competition, hahaha! Mmmmm Thanksgiving food....
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Ephraim had a lantern walk/carnival at school and a birthday party(an all boys birthday party, aaaaaahhhhh kill yourself!) so I'm pretty pretty burnt out. I can barely keep my eyes open right now and I still have to make dinner before Joel gets home. Who said being a house girlfriend was easy??
Kisses bitches,
Virgin
