Over the weekend I got a shitload of questions about being a fashionable Mother. 

Do I dress over the top when I volunteer at school? Does my son like it? What do the other parents think? Does it freak out the other kids/his friends? (The questions were way harsh, I had to rephrase them for you.)

Ummm duh and DUH!! This is how I dress when I'm doing regular Mom stuff...grocery shopping, washing the car, PTA meetings, the park, whateves! This is as "toned down" as Mama's gonna get boo!

Of course my son loves it...he thinks I'm the coolest blogger Mom on the planet, Janet! I don't think he would want it any other way.

As for the other parents, hahaha what they have to say about me falls on deaf ears cause I don't

And the children love me...all the little girls think I'm effin cool and always ask me to bring them something from my vintage collection. I actually gave them all heart sunnies for Xmas. 

The way I dress has nothing to do with me as a parent. Looking at me you would think I'm all fun and games when it comes to my son but homie don't play that! I'm strict as FUUUUUCK! And I'm raising my son old school when it comes to morals and self respect. Yes ma'am, no ma'am, please and thank you were Ephraim's first words! 

I strive to be nothing but the best for him and I'm a stay at home so I can be there for him whenever he needs me. I'm writing this with tears in my eyes cause NO ONE insults me as a parent...you got that!! My son is my life!

BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE...

It's been like 50 degrees out which is fucking cold for a Texan, especially a boney one, so I decided to take pics in my favorite part of the house. "The library" where I draw a lot of inspiration and a safe haven for all Joel's european photo books, Purple and ID magazines. 

One thing I love about my hubbie is that he secretly loves fashion and clothes just as much as I do! (He's waaaaay more advanced though and likes hardcore european designers.)

Like the other day I was talking about how rad Abbey Lee dresses and he goes, "I know she has the best personal style in the industry right now!" I don't know about you but that's sex talk to me, lol!!

Speaking of his amazing fashion sense...he got me these lovely Chelsea boots from Zara that I've been drooling over for weeks! Thanks boo and THANKS to all my readers. I know it's a little late but I can't believe I have 3000+ people cheering me on. It's INSANE and I have to pinch myself everyday! Me and my vintage is slowly paving a way in the blog world...FUCK YEAH!!

kinda SIMPLE.

Like I've said before my hubby is either borderline gay or just knows what a women wants! He's always trying to get me to wear the latest trends....like the pleated khaki pants. I'm not going to lie it took me awhile to adjust to these khakis from Zara cause they made it look like I have a mini cock, lol! But after seeing my butt in them I was sooooooo convinced I could totally pull them off! I decided to keep it simple and cute with a cardi and a satchel. Topped it off with a beret to finish the look. BOOOSH, preppy casual done my way, hahaha!

ANYWHO, still busy...if not more than the last time but I'm pushing through day by day and getting sh*t done! Maybe things would go faster if I wasn't shopping online, like alllll the time, hahaha!

Call me a snob but I HATE wearing the same thing twice, (I mean I can afford to since everything I buy is 50 cents, hehe!!), but this sweater just speaks to me so I wear it like allllllll the time! It has the perfect fit and the cutest band letterman patch, plus it's black and matches majority of my "dressed down" clothes. I can honestly say, "I LOVE THIS SWEATER!", don't you??

So tomorrow is going to be the biggest day of my life, I'm going to meet my bf's parents!! After being together for all these years it took them awhile to understand our family and accept me being black! Yes it's 2010 and interracial couples are still considered taboo in small towns in Texas! They finally see that I'm a genuine person regardless of the color of my skin. And being the person that I am I can't fault them for being closed minded. I am a little scared cause I am going to Buttfuck, TX where all the bigots live!! So wish me luck cause I will check a mf if they get outta line, hehe!

faux FUR

vintage sheer cropped blouse, Zara zipper skinny rider pants, DIY faux fur hat, DIY leopard faux pony platform maryjanes, vintage oversized cross/bangles and B.E. rings

So I was bored the other day and had some extra faux fur leftover after making my purse. Decided to make a matching hat, YAAAAAYS! 

I'm really into alot of volume on top and skintight bottoms this season. These are hands-down my favorite pants, you can honestly wear them with everything!! Plus they suck you all in, have you lookin FINE!! 

With this wishy-washy Texas weather you need a good blouse. I always rely on a sheer flowy barely there top. Perfect for bike rides too. I finally get to debut my shoes with an outfit. I am just head over heels in love with them! Sometimes I find myself just sitting on the couch with them on. I LOVE to be freakishly tall, it's like a match made in HELL!

UNMENTIONABLES

For awhile now I've been fantasizing about the whole sheer dress and underwear trend. You know I don't mind flaunting my assets but as a mom, who live in Texas, it's a bit hard to pull off on the streets. People already think I'm borderline crazy here, why give them a reason to burn me on a cross, hahaha!

For some reason the dress made me feel like I was going to a modern Woodstock!! So I added this SWEET faux fur coat,  my #3 favorite hat and felt pretty, pretty BADASS!

I have so many OBSESSIONS right now! I hope I can explore all of them before I'm over it. Like one day I like LOVE something and totally HATE it the next! But will FOREVER be in love with vintage, FOREVER!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. The Pop Up Shop was quite fun. I met some pretty cool people, who I had no clue lived in the gay ghetto, right down the street from me!! Soooo I made some money and gained a few friends. Goooooo ME!

So my boyfriend surprised me with this awesome romper from Zara. When I saw the price I instantly wanted to take it back! I thought I could get at least 200 vintage items at Family Thrift's 50 cents Tuesdays. But I tried it on and fuckin' loved it. Sooooo comfy and the perfect slouch. Never thought in a million years I would be posting something non-vintage! Ugh, my skin just crawled! I had to go in stand in my closet for awhile cause I just felt soooo bad for abandoning my babies, LOL!! I hope all the vintage accessories made it better!!

Anywho, I am super fucking busy. Due to my lappy crash, I have to reshoot some of my store pics! BOOOOOOOOOOO! Working on an editorial for KanDee's tees and prepping for summer school! Thanks Ephraim! It never ends! I'm soooo lazy I did the funniest thing ever. I was in such a rush I forgot to polish my toes, so I just polished the 3 toes that were showing! Hahahahaha! Oh I slay me. I know there's someone out there doing the same as we speak!!

Thanks for all the love you're sending to my laptop! It really helps me say positive. I'm a huge brat sometimes. You do not want to see me not get my way:(. The horns come out and I show my teeth!
