TEXAS SWEATER WEATHER

Romwe aztec southwestern fringe sweater cape, Zara man blouse, Forever 21  leatherette skinnies, vintage leather backpack purse, customized spikes/studs Jeffrey Campbell Tardy boots, Target long tank, old beanie, Mad Lady tribal stone cuff, Beginning Boutique cage ring, vintage bangles, random rings and vintage cross necklaces

The weather in Texas is bipolar...I've been freezing my imaginary balls off for the past week and it decides to be 80 degrees today!! My bones thank you but my coats like hate you, boooooooo hiss!

If I have to put my coats off for another day I'm gonna find the nearest cliff and fuckin' jump off it. I just don't know how much rejection they can take, especially seeing my sweaters get all the attention. Ugh, clothes can be soooooo demanding!

IT'S NOT SO SIMPLE...

vintage leather moto jacket, Romwe leather patches sweater, vintage sheer sleeveless blouse, vintage leather shorties, old beanie,  Nasty Gal JC Tardy boots with customized spikes/studs by me, vintage leather backpack purse, vintage cross necklaces, Beginning Boutique cage ring, Mad Lady tribal ring and Target socks

Ugh I fucking love Romwe, they always have the coolest shit without breaking the bank! I always find myself begging my hubbie to buy me stuff...like this sweater, hehe.  The pleather patches were just hypnotizing me through the screen, causing me to go into begging mode. I just needed it in my life, you know! Fudge.

So I was stoked when Romwe asked me to do a giveaway of $80 to 2 of my lovely readers!! Yays.

Here's the rules:

1. You must be following VintageVirgin cause this is exclusively for my readers, DUH! So just scroll right up to the top and click follow

2.  Next go to Romwe.com and sign up for an account. You're going to need it to collect those winnings.

3. Once you're done pop back over to VintageVirgin and leave me your email address in my comment box under this post only.

Sounds easy right?

The two winners will be chosen at random on Monday, November 21, so you have 2 weeks to enter. Good luck cause you can buy a whole lot with 80 bucks on Romwe, trust me!!

Okay on another note, let's talk shoes...
They were quite easy to make. All you need is Jeffrey Campbell Tardy boots (I got my from Nasty Gal for $99 on sale), textured rubberized spray which can be found at your local hardware store exacto knife and spikes/studs from Spikes and Leather on eBay.

First you spray the shoes evenly with 2 coats and allow to dry overnight. Do not over spray, it has a sand paper like texture so the more you spray the more it clumps up.

Next place studs anywhere of your chose. I picked the back of the shoe for a cool effect kinda like the spiked Litas. The studs are 3/4 double prong and the spikes are 1/2 with screw on backs. I also used an exacto knife and power drill to make the holes. Now that's the hard part, whew.

Finally go back through and touch up any chipped paint along the edges and then you're done and done, son!

It doesn't require a lot of skills, just BALLS cause you could be fucking up a pair of JCs. Get a friend to help you and mark before you cut or drill!

PEACE LOVE & VINTAGE

(everything thrifted from head to toe)
vintage sweater poncho cape, vintage customized southwestern tribal crop tee, vintage southwestern Moroccan fringe bag, Target knit socks, vintage customized Frye ankle boots, turquoise cross necklace from Darine, Mad Lady turquoise tribal cuff, elephant head necklace, vintage bangles and random rings

So I majority of the day I was wearing just the tee, shorts and yada yada yada. Then I decided to go the Guild Shop by my house which is like a mecca for old broads and antiques. I went to see if any of the overly priced crap I've been secretly stalking have been marked down yet, since the prices go down every month. In the corner of my eye I thought I caught a glimpse of an angel in their clothes section! I was like what the? I don't never really look through the clothes there since I rarely find anything cool.

But low and behold as I'm walking over I see the poncho of MY DREAMS!! Before I even looked at it I checked the price cause the shit there is expensive...only $4.50, mint condition, SOLD!

When I got home the poncho had the WORST FIT EVER, like booooooooo!! It literally ate me alive and made me look kinda homely. So I did what I do best and I cut that mofo right down the center seam and BOOSH a fucking cardi sweater cape that would have cost you a fortune online!

So next time you see a poncho cape that fits you all the wrong way...cut that bitch down the middle for a new look!

I added it to my original outfit to make one big southwestern clusterfuck but I LOVE IT!!

P.S. And I promise my next post will be about the shoes, mkay!

I'M ON THE CASE...

(everything thrifted from head to toe except shoes)
vintage double breasted mini trench coat, vintage Smokey the Bear hat, vintage Victorian briefcase bag, Target socks, Forever 21 faux suede clogs, vintage bangles/watch, Mad Lady tribal cuff, random rings and vintage belt

You know how I get all warm and tingly inside when I think of trench coats especially vintage trench coats!! So when I found this one I literally exploded all over the thrift store...blood and guts EVERYWHERE, haha! I was over the moon cause it was my size but when I unbuttoned it, the tag said Jessica....SOLD! I was halfway to the register at that point. The fit was soooooo perfect and I didn't even have to rip out the shoulder pads, which is extremely rare in vintage clothes.

I wore it as a dress since I've been hunting down one online for like ever and it's enough fabric to cover my ass and flaunt my best asset...hello, as if you didn't know, MY LEEEEGS!
Since the coat was fucking awesome I thought the briefcase bag was a given. The details on this bag is BEYOND INSANE, I love that the people are padded so it's kinda 3-D! I don't know if you can see it but in person it's unreal.

Anywho, love this look, don't you?

THAT PAULY SHORE MOVIE...

(everything thrifted from head to toe except shoes)
vintage army camo jacket, vintage DIY destroyed demim shorties, vintage crochet sweater, vintage leather backpack purse, old beanie, Lulu's triple platform wedges, vintage cross necklaces, random rings, round mirror Lennon sunnies and Target socks

And noooooooo, Pauly Shore is NOT Pauly D. from the Jersey Shore!! That's what my son asked me, haha lmfao!
He was the raddest dude of all-time, along with Wayne and Garth, hoooooowl! Looooove "In The Army Now"...buuuuuddy! It's so 90s, it hurts. Yeah if you don't know then you're extremely uncool and need to do a Google search stat! Jk jk.

I was on the fence about a camo jacket cause when you live in Texas you instantly think douchebag. You know that I'm going hunting guy who drives a big fucking truck in the city...like the only bumps in the road are speed bumps cause this is a fucking family neighbor...ya douche! Haha...that guy? But I overlooked it and got one anyways since it was only 50 cents...(remember?)
I thought I'd go along with the trashy appeal it gives off and added a slouchy sweater, destroyed denim shorties, knee highs, plats and of course a beanie. My next step is to add patches/buttons, hmmm...idk?

Anywho, hope you loves?
